About two years ago I bought Vesafe TPMS for an older model car that didn't have factory TPMS. Where my outlet was, it was difficult to read the display easily. I installed an outlet in an empty spot on the dash which made reading very accessible. I recently bought a new car with TPMS installed. It will warn you if one of the tires is too low, but it won't tell you which one. I have decided to install a socket in a new car to make it easier to work with my Vesafe device. That turned out to be a coup as I had just bought new tires. As I was driving down the interstate at 70 mph, the Vesafe started beeping, indicating a drop in pressure in the right front. I started to move and was thinking about waiting for the next exit when I noticed the pressure dropping quickly. I immediately pulled off the curb. Pressure dropped from 37psi to 20psi before the car stopped. At this point, the factory TPMS was flashing on the vehicle display. It turned out that the "new" valve stem on my front right was leaking. I was able to mount the spare tire and hit the road safely. Not only did Vesafe save my new tyre, it probably saved my family's life as well. That was the best $70 I've ever spent. If you can't install the outlet yourself, go to one of these car audio stores to have one installed. In my future I will not have a car that does not monitor the pressure in each tire in real time.
