UPDATE: System is fine, Vesafe customer support is responsive

UPDATE: A Vesafe representative contacted me with a plausible explanation of how I got my first used unit instead of a new one. I'm updating my rating because I believe the situation is out of your control. As mentioned in my first part, I have no problem with the functionality/design of this device. In fact, I like the design and accuracy of this system. I recommend this product if you need an aftermarket TPMS with external sensors. If you have any problems with the product, please contact…

So far Better built-in RDKS

I got a big leak warning before my car's low TPMS pressure kicked in so this is definitely a must have for anyone wanting aftermarket service. It's also cheaper to repair than an OEM since you can just buy another kit, which is another plus for it. Complaints only about the sensors and receiver, which would be nice -> Sensors are smaller as they look like giants and are easy to spot. -> As for the receiver, it only fits my awkwardly angled lighter as the lighter is deep and narrow, so I'm

Works better than factory TPMS

About two years ago I bought Vesafe TPMS for an older model car that didn't have factory TPMS. Where my outlet was, it was difficult to read the display easily. I installed an outlet in an empty spot on the dash which made reading very accessible. I recently bought a new car with TPMS installed. It will warn you if one of the tires is too low, but it won't tell you which one. I have decided to install a socket in a new car to make it easier to work with my Vesafe device. That turned out to be a

Inexpensive aftermarket TPMS system for older vehicles.

UPDATE: After seeing my first review of the product the manufacturer sent me a replacement, I tried it but it still doesn't work. They then suggested that I replace all 4 valve stems with new ones. I took my car to a local tire shop to have all 4 valve stems replaced and it cost me $60. I tried replacing it again but it still doesn't work! They then asked me if I had other electronics in the car, I said I use an MP3 FM transmitter and they suspected that was causing the problem. I turned off…

Update: O-ring failure now allowed moisture (and probably winter road salt) to get into the sensor. The electronics continued to function (but will surely soon be destroyed by corrosion). Most importantly, the corrosion caused the sensor to mechanically fail and all the air in the tire to escape. This error is due to the fact that the internal mounting screw "anchor" crumbled. which "broken" the seal between the electronic pressure sensor and the air in the tire. As I said earlier in this…
