It has been 13 years since my best friend and partner passed away. I decided it was time to drink whatever large amount of tea they had left. The tea blend contained Bigelow's Raspberry Royale. It reminded us of sitting together, chatting and drinking tea. Even after so many years, the taste of the raspberries was very aromatic and still reminded of freshly picked raspberries. I ran out a few days ago and decided to order more to always remember the good times we had together. Revain had a deal for a 6 box item. I liked the tea so I went ahead and bought it. It arrived yesterday and I opened it immediately and noticed a strange smell of artificial berries. I made a cup and took a sip. God that was TERRIBLE! My first thoughts were that it tasted like the Lipton raspberry tea you get out of a soda machine (minus the sugar because I don't add sugar to my tea). That awful fake raspberry taste that lingers on your taste buds for hours. How could that happen! Then I noticed that on the corner of the box it says "Now even more raspberry flavor" (maybe if you've eaten a raspberry, spit it out and eat it again). They ruined the tea and my special time! Why change something that was already good? When you developed this supposedly enhanced taste, did you use tasters who love to eat feces? Because this is how this tea tastes now. Now I'm stuck with 119 packages of this awful stuff. I was thinking of giving it to a homeless shelter, but even they shouldn't be plagued with this horrible excuse for raspberry tea.
