Item arrived on time with no damage. All of Strathmore's papers were lifelong pleasures. The quality is amazing. The reason I use this particular pad is because the tooth (texture) is very versatile. You can use anything from watercolor pencils to very expensive watercolor tubes and you will be happy with the end result. I have spent many hours comparing different weights of watercolor paper and find it suitable for most needs, except heavy saturation which requires a heavier weight to avoid as little warping as possible to avoid a prolonged absence to reach. By the way, our one-year-old granddaughter drew her first creation for her mother on this paper. I drew a bouquet of flowers with Staedtler watercolor pencils (great combination) which she then used with a small brush and water to 'paint' a beautiful masterpiece. If I could put more stars I would put 10.
