I really like this watercolor paper, it's easy for me to manipulate the color exactly how I want it on it, it takes pigments very well and holds up a lot of water without to get dirty. raw. The price is great too. The Strathmore brand is generally excellent.

Wonderful paper. I've done some of my best work with this paper. It's quite large, so sometimes I cut it short for the smaller pieces I make. It absorbs water and paint well and also allows for easy pull out of paint. The wet-on-wet design came out great and the colors held up really well after drying. All in all a great buy for any watercolor lover.

I was/am very satisfied with my Strathmore watercolor paper. It really is great value for money! Perfectly absorbs water and watercolor pigments. I'm hoping I just have one bad batch and they don't send all their bad batches to Amazon, but this (if anyone gets an art degree will know what I'm talking about) is actually a huge crap for me. I bought this notebook for my graduation series and already have frames to match my work. So when I see those thick strips of tape, it's really unsuitable for a specific project. The glue is too thick throughout the book and I would have to cut them smaller to remove the glue meaning they are too small…

I prepare the paper the night before painting. If you don't, the edges will curl. It's workable if you don't prep it, but it looks better and takes color a little better. Takes color well, practically does not spread, whether you cook it or not. I've been using it for many years and I have no plans to change brands. I don't soak it; I just spray and let it dry and it's ok. I've never soaked it, but this could be even better. Honestly, I'm just lazy.

I'm usually a big fan of Arches 140lb watercolor paper. But I decided to try this as it was a good price and thick paper. I sketched in the field, then brought the sketch home, peeled it off, and taped it to the drawing board. The paper took color well, but I didn't like the way the color was absorbed or the texture. It's good, decent paper and I'd definitely use it again, but my first choice would definitely be 140lb Arches paper.
