update The metal stand I used was bent on mine. I took it off and laid it on a flat table and bent it accordingly until it was perfectly flat on both sides. This eliminated the vibration-related knocking noise for me. Hopefully this will help others! It definitely lowers the temperature for me and cools the laptop, but it also makes a noise in the middle and above on the fan speed controls, like a slight click or tap. I don't know if it was my defect or something else but for what I paid and if the noises I hear are normal I honestly just spent the extra money and bought something better than what was also the audio performance is decent. The GPUZ stress test was left at 10 minutes each, overall GPU temperatures dropped significantly, and average CPU and GPU speeds were higher thanks to the cooler laptop. General build quality is satisfactory, seems solid enough on my laptop desk, very light. It's so easy to carry around. I love that the height adjustment that raises the screen to eye level does wonders for my neck, not all laptop cooling pads allow it My only real issue is the fan knocking noise at higher speeds otherwise this would be a perfect budget laptop cooling solution
