I live in a small bachelorette apartment with only one sink (not two separate ones). I bought these to compensate for this so I can soak the dishes in a countertop tub and do the washing up. in the sink. For that it works fine. I'm a teacher too so they're great for lugging books, papers etc into the classroom. The plastic is quite thick and quite rubbery so not brittle. I am happy with my purchase. (I only gave the durability a 4 because I've only had them for 4 months, but it looks like they'll last a long time.
