Review on πŸ”Š Hagibis Bluetooth Receiver: Upgrade to Bluetooth 5.0 for Hands-Free Car Kits & Home Audio - Grey U3 by Jake Hillyer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price but a few problems

This is a simple and inexpensive device that does what it's supposed to do, but has a few drawbacks: 1) The sound quality isn't as good as a hardwired connection, even for Streaming MP3s2 transmission) is a bit noisy (though so is the wired connection). It seems to have some sort of built-in noise reduction that cuts out the hum at breaks in music, but I suspect this causes a third problem: 3) it lags a bit and often cuts out the first few bars of a song or the beginning of spoken directions your maps app, which can be annoying. 4) It disables the microphone on my iPhone so it doesn't work for phone calls (which is honestly explained in the description). But this is especially frustrating because I have to disable Bluetooth or turn off Hagibis to answer a call or use speech-to-text when the device is running. But for twelve bucks it works very well and I don't regret the purchase, it has served me well for a few months and is a good fix for the lack of a headphone jack on the new iPhones. I don't know if similar, more expensive branded devices work better, but they're worth a look if you use a lot of speech-to-text and a car phone (I don't) or really depend on your GPS app.
