The best option if you need an effective filter with disinfection. Microbes here are not killed by chemistry, incidentally getting into drinking water, but by the membrane. The rest of the typical contaminants are also removed - some with coal, others with aqualene (Aquaphor's proprietary sorbent). The result is something that you can drink raw and without grimacing - absolutely clean, safe water. The purchase is 100% worth it.
