These high quality cables are very easy to connect as they are all color coded. The gold plated ends are finished, smooth and look like jewelry. A bundle of cables bends very easily when it needs to be bent to fit in a room. The point where the five separate jacks converge into one cable is shaped the same as the color-coded ends that connect to the component jacks. I was pleasantly surprised that connecting these cables instead of an HDMI cable actually works a little better. Picture and sound quality from my 5 year old Vizio HDTV. The fifth visit by the cable company's technicians showed me that there was 50 volts on the ground of the HDMI cable. The 6th tech visit found some grounding issues and old mismatched wiring in my house which eventually resolved the issues. One more note; On the back of my TV, where the component cables connect, it says "component cable is better". I always thought HDMI was better. Shows how little I know!
