Initial Review: After using this product for the first week it was excellent. It looks good, feels good and works great. It arrives completely empty so expect to fill it up. I bought a 5.5 ounce can of BernzOmatic butane fuel available from The Home Depot for about $5 and I have a "universal refill tip" that fits my lighter perfectly. It lights my cigars very well. candles too. The lighter is not very big. Slightly larger and heavier than a regular Bic lighter. Lies comfortably in the hand. The fuel gauge is a useful feature. Tank Tips: Make sure your lighter is completely empty. Hold the ignition button down for a few seconds to make sure there is no pressure inside. Put the lighter in the freezer for a few hours. When you're done, take your lighter out of the freezer and hold it upside down. Open the lid and turn the butane gas jar upside down. Don't shake the jar. Connect straight and vertical together, hold for about 10 seconds. Publication. Some liquid butane drips/splashes onto your hand. No panic. It's harmless. Do not use the lighter for at least 1-2 hours until it cools down to room temperature. It may take a few tries to ignite, then it should light up on the first try every time. To make sure it lights up on the first try: Always slowly turn the ignition switch down for about 1-2 seconds. This allows a small amount of fuel to escape before there is a spark.
