Like (Revised!) I love these silky leafed plants for our 3 gallon Betta aquarium. They hold up fairly well and are a good size for a small aquarium (green is about 6 inches, red is about 7 inches). The fish likes to hide and doze in it. NOTE: The stems are plastic (but no sharp edges) and the leaves are soft silk. (Betta's fins are very fragile and we've had issues with plastic plants damaging his tail/fins in the past). HOWEVER, at the bottom of the plant's base, short, sharp, prickly pieces of plastic come out of the base(!?). I'm not sure what the purpose of these spikes is (aesthetically I think), but they definitely had to be trimmed off before the product was used. This required some work with nail scissors and tweezers as well as some strength. If you have a "stronger" fish, this is not a problem for you.
