Overall I am very happy with this purchase. First, the water no longer has a strong chemical smell and taste. As recommended by the company, I keep the pitcher in the fridge to slow the growth of bacteria and mold. I then boil the filtered water before drinking it, since the jug filter does not produce sterile water. Please do not leave the mug on the counter. The filter can easily become moldy and mold is very difficult to remove. If you don't like chilled water, just boil the water. Second, I like the long life filter which should remove 99% of the lead which is more economical and efficient! I have yet to see how long it lasts though. Please note that there is a maximum level indicator inside the tank and you need to fill water below the line. Filling over the line results in unfiltered water dripping into the jug, which some reviews have complained about. Overall I am happy with this purchase :)
