Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced SEO-Aware Jonard Tools AHC 10 Adjustable Cutter by David Ross

It works, but the instructions could be clearer.

This is a well made accessory. Yes, you need a drill with the right amount of torque, but what jack-of-all-trades or DIYer spending $80 on that hole saw doesn't own a modern cordless drill with massive torque? My non-fuel 18v Milwaukee had no problems with it. A side handle would definitely help stabilize it, but I still haven't had any issues. My only criticism is that what seemed like a logical way to set the size - on the flat (outer) side of the blade - is actually wrong; You need to remove the blade holder* from the measurement and align the curve of the blade holder with the marks on the bar. It's easy enough to spot the wrong size on the smaller hole, but after setting the diameter to 8ΒΌ" on my first try, it wasn't noticeable until I was done cutting. Now I'm waiting for the dirt to dry after putting the plug back in the wall (because that's the only way I can cut it)! I saw the mistake, adjusted the tool, and made three more holes in about five minutes. I have a few dozen more holes to cut here and at another house. And really pay attention to the position of the studs, blocks or sheathing strips/beams in the cavities you plan to drill. The blade gets stuck and the drill breaks in no time! That first hole taught me *two* lessons, there was one block where neither was expected. All in all, an incredibly useful addition to my toolbox.
