It's ok - strict reception restrictions

I am a professional dog trainer. I use e-collars daily with my dogs and client dogs. While I like the Mini IQ for its design and ease of use, there are a few issues that make it impractical as an effective dog training device. The color and the remote control are very poor compared to others on the market. I have found that even the smallest obstacle, e.g. B. a hand in front of the remote control, inside / outside the car, even throughout the room, can cause the reception to fail. I sent my collar/remote to Dogtra. They analyzed it and said there was nothing wrong with it. Dial - It is not possible to lock the intensity controls on this device. This means that while the collar is around your neck, you can accidentally increase it to 100 or decrease it to 0. Then if at any point you have to use it, you end up giving the dog a much stronger correction than necessary. Or no correction at all. Battery life. After 6 months of use I found that the battery life is limited to around 1 day depending on how much you use it of course. In comparison, I've found that the Micro Educator's battery life can last at least 2 days. Customer service. One final note I would like to add is that while I was reviewing my collar at Dogtra, some of the people on the customer service team were nice. and helpful, others not. I had to take care of my collar several times. They didn't seem happy or apologetic for helping me identify one of their products that is less than effective in its current state. Overall I would not recommend this product to my clients or other dog owners at this time. At the moment my clients are using Micro Educator. I hope to one day believe in Dogtra again.
