Very effective remedy for dogs

We have two rather small Maltese dogs who cry a lot when they feed each other. Most of the time they are good, but sometimes they just don't listen. We bought a system for two dogs so each has a collar and after the first collar was fitted with minimal correction the problem was practically solved. Although the receivers are lightweight, they are still a bit bulky for small dogs. One would think that with current technology it would be possible to make a smaller receiver with the same results…

Doesn't work well on thick/long hair

I would give this product 3 stars as it doesn't work well on long haired dogs. After we called the company to see if there was anything we could do, they politely mentioned that I should have bought the IQ Plus or another model with a different contact person. Customer service was great but it would have been nice to know in the product description that this is best for short haired dogs. Having groomed my dogs in one place he doesn't feel it until he's about 40 years old and it feels more like

Worth buying the best in dogs

I did a lot of research before buying and I'm glad I did. It works great and is very easy to use. I've always been a little hesitant to use this type of product, but the key really is as simple as reading and following the instructions. If you don't do this and get a bad result, then it's really your fault. Just always use the lowest settings to get your dog's attention and then train from there. These are training collars and you still need to do some real training. Also, remove the collar…

Dissatisfied with the rheostat dial (static level dial)

I just got the IQ MINI. I've always had 2 other manufacturers' electronic collars (5 units total) so I had a lot of units. I am very disappointed with the "rheostat dial". There is no locking or clicking mechanism on the dial to prevent unintentional movement of the dial by a number well above (or below) the intended static level. It would have been easy to hold the station and think the correction would be 20 as set, but it has shifted to 40 or 60. Correction should go quickly when pressing…

It's ok - strict reception restrictions

I am a professional dog trainer. I use e-collars daily with my dogs and client dogs. While I like the Mini IQ for its design and ease of use, there are a few issues that make it impractical as an effective dog training device. The color and the remote control are very poor compared to others on the market. I have found that even the smallest obstacle, e.g. B. a hand in front of the remote control, inside / outside the car, even throughout the room, can cause the reception to fail. I sent my…
