Pros: -- The hub maintains the speed of the hard drive I used for backup and offers data transfer rates of around 140 Mbps. The theoretical USB speed for USB 3 is around 600MB/s, but I can't verify that. - It works very cool, so it shouldn't consume much power. -- The $15 price is roughly in the bottom 20% of similar devices, but there are USB-3 devices priced under $12 that have separate USB port light switches. It's on and you only see it if you look straight ahead. -- Interestingly, it has rubber feet, but the device is so small and light (its own cable weighs three times as much) that the cable it attaches to puts the hub where the cable wants to go, so the rubber feet are there useless. special feature. -- If you need a fixed lift, you have to bring it to the surface twice. They should have offered this or the velcro mount as an option. -- Three of the ports do not have activity LEDs, which would be of great help when troubleshooting. Conclusion: all clear. Does the job and is reasonably priced for a USB 3 hub. I'm struggling with a 3 star rating but it does what it says so I'm giving it 4 stars badly.
