I bought this applicator and it worked so well it wore out. I was thinking of replacing it with a cheaper product. I took cheaper but not as good. The brushes are not suitable for mineral or tung oil. This thing spreads oil so well I can't praise it enough! As a result, I bought the new version and it works even better. The new design allows you to get the job done faster with no waste. They have a better fit that increases your speed by covering surfaces so easily. I'm sticking with these products because the pads work great too. I tried another model with the same - same thing. Clark products work best. Your cutting boards look fantastic, not a single drop of wasted or spilled oil and work on the knife handles. Don't waste your money experimenting with other products, choose Clark's because they are THE BEST! I have personally proven this with 5 bamboo boards and 4 Japanese kitchen knives. Paul J.
