Description of 🌲 Premium USA Maple Construction - CLARK'S Oil & Wax Round Applicator (New V2 Design!) for Cutting Boards, Butcher Blocks, and Wood Utensils

REDESIGNED to fit your hand even more comfortably than our last version. ERGONOMIC HANDLE is specifically contoured to the shape of your hand, making product application a breeze! The new design is slightly larger than the prior version to reduce hand fatigue and decrease application time. CIRCLE SHAPE FITS IN WAX CONTAINERS – We’ve only seen a couple of other applicators and they are square, yet ALL wax containers are circular...weird. (Still MADE IN USA!). APPLIES SMOOTH CONSISTENT FINISH with longer lasting results. When you’re putting quality wax or oil on a cutting board you need a stiffer sponge to get an even application. This makes the whole process easier and less time consuming. LESS WASTE Instead of throwing out paper or cloth towels with wax left on them, you can simply put the applicator in a re-sealable plastic bag and use it again next time. EXPERT SUPPORT - We respond to every customer email! We want your experience to match the quality of our products.

Saves time and money on oiling

We have a small business making wooden cutting boards and oiling is very difficult. So we bought this Gratitude and it actually saved us time and money. We use less oil and this makes it easier to coat the wood. It is of good quality and will stand up to repeated use. Even after daily washing.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • So far so good

Not a bad product but probably not worth it.

I think I expected more from this. It's nicely shaped, feels good in the hand, serves its purpose, but honestly it's little more than a rag. I was expecting the foam to be something special that would make applying the beeswax super easy, but it's just regular foam. In my opinion too soft. He twitched too much. I used it once, it worked fine, but on the next board I waxed I just used a rag. It's just as easy.

Waxing, Wax Removal - Wood Conditioners, Waxes & Oils

I got tired of rubbing oil/wax on cutting boards with a rag - it seemed so messy and I always had to clean the rag and found it took a lot of work . This is MUCH better, spreads the material out well and will probably be good for a similar surface polishing application. Instead of cleaning it, I leave it in a ziplock bag and just take it out the next time I want to do it. Work. I had to start by wrapping the pen in a paper towel otherwise it got very greasy during storage. Anyway, if you want…

Glides easily and transfers oil

It has the perfect balance of softness, suppleness and lustrous fibers firmly packed in a wooden handle. It does not absorb oil and effectively transfers it from the sponge to the wooden cutting board. It glides very easily over the board and even spreads the oil on the sponge. Actually, calling it a sponge is not very accurate. Although it has a spongy density, it does not absorb oil. Cleaning is done very easily and quickly. Just like you hand wash your dishwashing brush, do the same with…

  • Even the elderly can understand
Cons
  • For seniors

I bought this because I bought 3 bamboo cutting boards, oil and this applicator at the same time. I used a technique shared by another reviewer regarding the use of a paint spray cap that allows the wooden applicator to rest lightly against the cap so that all of the spongy black foam portion isn't exposed. This helps a lot to keep oil from getting on anything it touches after you're done. I put it in the kitchen cupboard where it won't be disturbed. I took off 1/2 stars because it needs a…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

When I first invested in a very, very good (and expensive) (and large) Boos Block cutting board, I used Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream (wax). The oil was great but the board wax was in a tube and I always put too much wax on the board, left a very thick layer overnight and removed the excess the next day with at least 12 paper towels. then tried Clark's wax and applicator. The applicator allows you to quickly and easily apply a nice, thin, even coat of wax to the SUPER slab with virtually no…

Tried other products, this one works best.

I bought this applicator and it worked so well it wore out. I was thinking of replacing it with a cheaper product. I took cheaper but not as good. The brushes are not suitable for mineral or tung oil. This thing spreads oil so well I can't praise it enough! As a result, I bought the new version and it works even better. The new design allows you to get the job done faster with no waste. They have a better fit that increases your speed by covering surfaces so easily. I'm sticking with these…
