It's good to be organized!
Yes, you will need to purchase more needles if you want to take full advantage of this tool, but it's worth it! I'm a person who winds excess yarn onto a spool, then unwinds and rethreads each time. This saves me extra time and is also perfect for mixed flows on the chart! You write a symbol and make sure to stick this color in the indicated place. I've heard of people putting clear tape on paper to make it dry erase and reuse paper. I didn't, but I wish I had read this before writing it myself! It comes with a few extras so I'll try those. I also bought paper inserts and bought the wrong size, too big! But I'll probably just crop them. Great little product!
