Review on Marples M44414N Woodworking Chisel - Premium Quality Tools for All Your Woodworking Needs by Ashwin Chauhan

I'm disappointed. About ten years ago I had a set of these Marples chisels that looked exactly like the one shown here (smooth long blue handle). They were very well weighted and balanced. They have been around for leverage and comfort for a very long time. I lost them and have wanted to buy a replacement for years. It now appears that Marples was bought out by Irwin, who turned this wonderful woodworking tool into a cheap, light, short, unbalanced "do-it-all" chisel, just like all those lame Stanley products I've avoided all my life . It is very sad to see another great product destroyed due to a CEO's short-sightedness and disrespect for their customers. I will keep searching for the true master's chisel.
