This product is easy to install (it literally snaps into place) and works great with our Xerox VersaLink B605 multifunction printer. In fact, before installing this network adapter, we could only make copies and print from USB in our church library. Now the rest of the "multifunctions" are unlocked! Everything worked right away: switch off the device, remove the protective screen, plug in the adapter and switch on the device again. Then simply use the control panel to enter the settings, make the primary connection WiFi (Ethernet by default), select the WiFi network and enter the network password to connect. Not entirely intuitive, but doable for most. There are no on-screen instructions - you just have to click on the options and find out (of course you have to choose the right network and enter the password, so experiment until you find these options). I was able to print successfully from both my Windows 10 laptop and Android phone straight away. However, I had to go to the Xerox website and download (and run) the Xerox Smart Start software to get the necessary drivers for my PC and the Xerox plugin downloaded from Google Play when I first got my phone printed out. So not without problems, but not too bad. Connecting to the network brought two additional benefits: updating the firmware (which obviously requires a network connection) and finally stopping the home page from printing on every power cycle or reboot (why is a network connection required to configure this setting, what beyond the scope of my reasoning - what a waste of paper and toner)! To access these advanced options, you must use the Embedded Web Server. Simply enter the device's IP address (which can be found via the management console under Settings/About) into a browser connected to the same network and the embedded web server will start automatically. Logging in with an administrator account is easy as the default password should work (see the Xerox support site - google it). In any case, there are a lot of advanced settings here, but I was just glad to finally turn off auto-printing of the home page! As mentioned above, setting up the network connection could be a bit more user-friendly, hence 4 stars.
