Review on Tank Aluminum Cylinder CGA320 Valve by Andrew Lyons

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Shiny body and brass valve but 5 months old Hydraulic Sensor

Got my tank today. Looks better than on the picture. including the neck area, as well as a new brass valve, all shiny and polished. The picture on this page does not match what I received. it shines brightly from top to bottom. to look good! the date is slightly less than perfect. Mine arrived in October 2015, so it's already 5 months old. I asked the seller about it after I ordered. Well I'm guessing instead of using 60 months some people got lucky and got a new tank the same month it was made (ie hydraulic date). This is good enough for 5 years/60 months of use, although as you near the end you may be prompted for a hydro test as fillers may not wish to fill the tank with less than 6 months of hydraulic system operation remaining. But I'm not sure about that. So if someone loses 5 months for the 60 months you pay for, that's about a 10% or 9% discount. He estimates. It may be best to visit the various suppliers and contact them in advance and if possible ask for the valve timing date on their tank and then make a decision. Plastic wheel handle on top. The UPS Ground survived despite being boxed with no padding or protection other than the sides of the box itself. Now I can't wait to top it up with $15 CO2 (NJ price) - while I wait, no barter scam, and start making delicious strong seltzer and sparkling water in standard 1 liter and 2 liter plastic bottles ( the rest of the system is already there, including adapters for plastic soda bottles - see my other reviews)! Goodbye Sodastream and Soda shopping in store. 4 stars because I'm deducting a star because the hydraulic fitting is 5 months old. If you're lucky enough to get a fresher date it's a great buy and of course 5 stars - just ask the seller ahead of time and see who has freshly made cans.

Pros
  • 5.25" diameter, 14.2" long, 1.125" UNF inlet.
Cons
  • So far so good
