Review on ๐Ÿ’ง GOWIN 2-Handle Centerset Bathroom Sink Faucet by Warren Hess

TWO water pipes! Remember.

The faucet itself is very pleasant: a heavy metal body with a nice finish. The problem I had was partly my fault as I didn't realize the 2 water hoses were clearly visible in the picture. This was only meant as an indication, but I had already looked at 137 different faucets and squinted when I bought this one. The problem arose when I looked under the faucet, which was not visible in the photos here. It had two water inlets, for cold and hot water. Well my rod connection, like most I've seen, only has a cold water line. There are several ways to fix this discrepancy and the easiest for me was to go to the big orange box and buy a bolt (M10? I don't remember) to cut into the hot water inlet instead of a hose. As a result, the head of the screw was now in the way of the faucet's twist lock, so Dremel saved me once more by removing the head from the screw. can reach its metal threaded end due to lack of space. This way you hold the hose a few inches from the end and just flip it over. Until the hose is twisted on itself with insufficient torque for its threaded portion to install a water seal in the base of the faucet. This bad connection causes a lot of water to enter your closet. Ask me how I know. I had to use thread paste to fix this (teflon tape won't work as it requires more torque than you can apply to the hose). So now it's a nice, well-functioning faucet. But it didn't work out of the box.
