Review on πŸ”₯ Efficient ERP DG94-00520A Range Igniter for Optimal Performance by Ronny Prather

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as a replacement for DG94-01441A

My oven has stopped working recently. I checked the resistance of the igniter and it was measured as an open circuit (infinite resistance). I also found that the igniter in my oven is the same for both baking and roasting so I swapped the 2 igniters and then the baking worked but not roasting. I was a bit concerned as I couldn't find a direct replacement for the DG94-01441A (part number for my old Samsung NX60T8511 series igniter), but for $25 I took a chance. This igniter is a plug and play replacement for the original, no splicing or forcing required. I measured the resistance of this igniter and it was 175 ohms versus 110 ohms for the remaining original working igniter. This means it takes almost twice as long for the gas to ignite (higher resistance means less current means more time for the igniter to heat up sufficiently). I can live with that small downside and at $25 I can't complain about the cost at all.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
