I've read reviews saying this material doesn't stretch. You can ignore these reviews. It shouldn't stretch. As it stretches, it tears and fails, and air escapes through the spoke holes in your rim. It should be flexible enough to wrap around the rim and conform to the shape, but no more. Good surface preparation is essential. Clean the inside of the rim with isopropyl alcohol to remove all traces of foreign material and never touch it with bare hands after cleaning - you'll get oil off your fingers and they won't stick. Pull hard when applying, slightly heat the edge with a blow dryer or hair dryer to activate the glue, and press really, really firmly, no air bubbles. If you do all this, this tape will work perfectly. I don't lose air from my tires - I run them at 40psi (gravel) and every time I check before a ride they're still at 40. Zero loss for weeks. It can't be better.
