Glarks 8 32UNC 10 24UNC Threaded Assortment Review

5-32? There is no standard range of 5-32 threads. I needed 6-32. I took a chance it was a typo when it turned out they were 8-32.

The perfect set of rivet nuts. I had no problems or crashes. I use them for all sorts of projects from hanging chair conversions to BBQ pits and RV setup.

Great product, good value for money. Delivered on time but as the courier didn't follow the instructions (we have several buckets and a delivery box) I ran and the box broke.

I don't know what to use Inserts 5/32-32 make no sense, nobody makes a mandrel of this size and there are 70 of them. That means you only get 250 usable rivets but pay 350. So either make a mandrel for it or stop putting them in kits.

I used them to mount equipment when replacing fixed windows with hinged windows in my Savana and they worked great! I've also used some in other sheet metal applications where they worked well. I used a large nut, bolt and impact wrench to "knock out" them. You can only pull 2 or 3 on a bolt before it breaks. I will use them for many other applications.

These cannot be found locally, even in specialized hardware stores. I used some of the 10-24's to reinstall the rocker panel on the jeep. The screws and washers in the photo are not included. EASY to install with Harbor Freight socket wrench. Larger sizes require special tools. Only minor complaint, the box is a little flimsy, the dividers between sizes are misaligned. The hardware itself is of good quality.

Sturdy design, simple in theory, difficult to install. I was on a tight budget and said the longer the paste tool lasts the better. I used the 15" grip glue tool and it worked, but I was definitely happy when I finished my project. My recommendation: Pay a few bucks more for longer handles (for leverage). Other than my trouble installing the threaded inserts, they are amazing! Very durable and easily replaceable (if at all).

I bought a 1/4-20 pack of 100. The packaging doesn't list the required hole size, but Revain's description says the hole size should be 8.8mm. Since drill bits don't come in that size, this is useless information. I used a 23/64 drill bit. The results with the 23/64 hole were very good, the rivet nuts compressed into a 360 degree and even ring. Their grip on the body panel was excellent. 5 stars for the product. 4 stars for impractical description/information.
