Price $1 a head can't help but love it

Very handy set of 3/8 drive impact sockets. The case label says "Made in China" but they actually look like "Made in Taiwan" (usually 2 notches up). I'm not sure I would choose them as a professional mechanic, but I've been on my own before and given the relatively infrequent use of many of them, I might. That way you can have something that fits all sizes and be able to upgrade some sizes that you've used enough to wear or break. The finish looks pretty bad when they arrive, but don't judge them until you've worked in oil. The black oxide surface is for lubrication and the oil provides rust protection. The 3-in-1 is a good choice as it contains anti-corrosion additives and has that classic "don't bother me, I'm doing real garage work here" smell. What appeared a bit rough in the finish holds the oil film very well and prevents surface rust. You can rub the oil with fine steel wool (e.g. #00) if you want to give them a silkier look. The attached photo shows the before and after. I think the surface texture is excellent. The broach (square holes) on the sockets is good and comparable in size to the quality 3/8" sockets I have, about .380" (3/8" is .375"). The square ends of the extensions are approximately .375 inches long, which is also comparable to the premium extensions I have. The broach at the end of the breech is better. an innovation of the time that maintains the hexagonal head of the fastener. There are no visible machining marks on the hex broach and fastener fit is excellent. There is absolutely nothing to complain about in the machining department. I think the main question to ask yourself is "Do I really need that many 3/8" power sockets and "Where do I put them?" Keep in mind that 3/8" power sockets are needed much less often .Sizes: 8 in. If a fastener is only being torqued to 15 ft-lbs, it is often quicker to loosen it with a hand ratchet or whatever and then tighten it with the same (chrome plated) socket with a 3/8 air Unscrew/power tool No, the need for impact resistance if you're not really into impact In my automotive career (maybe 10 years) you just don't use 3/8" sockets as often as you might think and very rarely do you can do. You can't do the job without them. The sockets won't fit anywhere that a chrome socket will fit due to the thicker sidewalls. If you're a pro or semi-pro (eg what you need to do, it's a throw punch cast case. This is a very useful Her suitcase, but it takes up too much space and is too difficult to put things in and out. I think what I'm going to do is take out the sizes I'm likely to use, put them in my main rolling mechanics toolbox and leave the remaining sizes in a blow molded case, set aside and go to other sizes, if and If I need her. Overall, I think it's a hell of a deal if you think you're actually going to use half of it. Otherwise, consider buying smaller sets geared toward what you're likely to be using.
