Review on 🚘 Ontel Foam Blaster Car Wash Cannon Spray Gun with Hose Nozzle by Scott Gafur

Discreet Car Wash Foam Gun

I'm one of the few who wash the car by hand. I have a whole rack of car wash tools and chemicals in my garage, and I've used a foam gun with my electric pressure washer for years. I thought it would be great for those quick maintenance washes when I don't want to drag the pressure washer, and it is. The first thing you need to know is that although this is sold as a cleaning solution spray, don't expect to actually clean a dirty car this way. First off, the only way to remove water stains is to dry your car (unless you have a DI flush system). Second, most car washes don't remove the dirt without your touch. If it can remove dirt without touching the car, then it will also remove wax, sealant, etc. that you don't need. The foam generator simply creates foam (suds) from the soap mixture. and water and apply it to your car. So the correct way to use this is to rinse the car, apply soap with this foam gun, scrub with a good quality glove or sponge, rinse and dry with a good quality microfiber car towel. I would also recommend having a clean bucket of water to rinse out the glove/sponge from time to time. The gun itself is pretty good. It has a quick disconnect between the spray gun and soap bottle so you can quickly switch between soap and rinse aid, and it also has a dial to control the amount of suds produced (just set it to max). Of course, it won't produce the kind of suds you get from a pressure washer foamer, and the soap you choose will make a world of difference (they make a special car wash soap to lather the foamer), but it's good enough to get FOAM on your cart. It's also important to note that you should fill the bottle about 3/4 full with water, then add a few tablespoons (2-3 pumps) of soap and stir a little for best results. The only reason I gave it 4 stars (instead of 5) is that they sell this product as some kind of touchless car wash system and if you expect your dirty car to be clean without touching it you will be greatly disappointed be. Also because the quick coupler between the syringe and garden hose didn't match the quick couplers I already had on my garden hose (I thought they were universal). Also in the kit was a small plastic nozzle that I couldn't figure out how to use or where it went. There was no mention of whether it was in the included instructions or the parts list and it didn't seem to fit anywhere on the system. Overall I think it's a good garden hose foam gun, but it's not the wonderful no-touch car wash solution it sells and if that's what you're expecting you'll be disappointed. It just sprays soapy water on your car. I knew what to expect so I wasn't disappointed.
