Use requires setting up an account with email and internet
Only a mobile app works with it to scan codes and it requires setting up an online account. If I wasn't already using it for code retrieval I would return it just for that as it's very intrusive. I don't have to agree to any policies just to get error codes from my cars. Another running app offers sensors etc but doesn't scan the code and doesn't seem to require registration. The actual code scanning works on all computer modules (ECM/ABS/BCM/EBCM etc.) I've tried, but really it should just connect to a standalone app and provide the codes, that's it.
