I bought this siphon primarily to transfer gas from a larger storage tank to a smaller one to fuel a car, ATV, or generator set. This is a good product that does not require a power supply to work. You may find that it takes more than a few shakes to start the flow, and the flow is relatively fast, but not so fast that you don't have time to pull the end of the shaker out of the source tank. An anti-static hose helps prevent unexpected fires. With the transparent hose you can control the achievement of a positive flow. Just leave the remaining liquid in the hose to avoid overfilling the receptacle. My only negative point is that the hose should be stored straight if you have the space. The wall thickness of the hose means it must retain a twisted shape (when stored in a coil) which is difficult to use when vacuuming.
