We were very pleased with this item. We have a Standard Poodle (6m, 40lbs). It was a great alternative to replacing our glass door with a dog door with a block our window and insulate around it. The window is under our covered patio and is not in direct sunlight or weather. After a few days we noticed that the area of our home where the unit was located was much hotter than usual live in south louisiana so heat and humidity can be extreme during the summer months. The unit windows are not energy efficient and feel hot to the touch during the day even when not in direct sunlight. The magnetic latch does not always snap and is it also not energy efficient Feel warm when you put your hand on the lid I wish the cooler g rill would be thicker and better finished and the windows could be tinted or just thicker. With that in mind, we unfortunately have to return the product and replace our glass door.
