Either the shank is very short at that moving center or the tool access hole on my 2MT face is too far back, but I had to glue a 7/16" nut right down the middle. the end of the rod (shown in the photo) so that it enters the hole in the slot so you can detach the device from the socket (if your socket/bracket has both ends open just touch the dowel from the socket) . the rear one works perfectly!) The device itself seems to be very well made. Although I haven't used the live center in the project yet to be able to report an issue with permanently loose bearing caps.
