Beautiful star in a rustic tendril style. The light is pleasant, though (and that's my fault, probably because I didn't read carefully). The lights run on batteries (AA) and the wiring between the star and the battery holder is no longer than 5 inches. So to change the batteries on our 10ft Christmas tree, you had to climb a tall stepladder, find a hidden box, awkwardly bend down to change the batteries, etc. We figured a star with no lights is fine! Even if the wiring was long enough to put the box at eye level it would be fine. It wasn't worth sending back. In addition, the husband had to grind a wooden adapter on a lathe - the coil was so big that it could sit on a tree. I do not recommend.
