Here you can find more information about the two-pin size

The lamp still works, there are no complaints about the work of the lamp. I wanted to throw out some information so you don't make the same mistake I did. I ordered the wrong bi-pin size. My reading lamp has a GY8 base and I originally ordered a GY6.35 base, of course my lamp says "50W JDC lamp or less". I think that meant JDC would fix my lamp size issue. some more detailed information on the dimensions of two-pin connectors; Using coins as a thickness gauge, they can be combined as follows to determine which combination between the Mystery Lightbulb's pins works best: (1) Nickel and (1) Dime = G4 base (2) Nickel = G5.3 . Base(3) Quarters = GY6.35 Base(4) Quarters = GY8 Base****GY8 has always been an interval of 8.6. Only recently some retailers have started labeling their products as 8.6 to trick customers into thinking that GY8 is different from 8.6. It is not; and even if it were, the 0.6mm difference in distance would not matter for installing the bulb in the socket. ALSO; I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO TOUCH THE LIGHT WITH YOUR SKIN! Your skin's oil creates a hot spot on the glass, causing premature failure. Hope this helps, it was a $6 tutorial. I just need to find the bulb that my GY6.35 replacement bulb needs. I left the same review on a GY8 lamp I purchased and thought I would add that the other reviews here raise another issue with this particular item. A 12V bulb is shown. I needed a 120 volt light bulb and got a 120 volt light bulb. Thank you fellow reviewers for this important information.
