I don't usually write reviews (this is my first!) but I've seen some complaints in other reviews that I'd like to point out. This is exactly what I was looking for and at a great price! I bought these because I wanted privacy in my kitchen and I HATE cleaning regular blinds. I chose this style as there are no individual blades to clean. Installation was very easy, although I was lucky and didn't have to cut anything. I initially had some issues with it not retracting fully, only about half way up as mentioned in some other reviews, but this was easily resolved by following the instructions for adjusting the tension during installation. I also saw that some people had problems. to force them to withdraw completely, which I struggled with at first. I've found that the trick to opening them is to let go of them while continuing to pull them down. If you pull down, stop, and then let go, they won't get back up. Once I figured it out, they go all the way to the top on the first try every time. The first two photos were taken at night with the interior lights on to give you an idea of the privacy they offer. The third photo was taken during the day to give an idea of how much light they block. I highly recommend them and will definitely buy them again!
