I bought this kit and another kit to install between the floor joists. Very positive results using only a strong magnet and a long 7/64" drill bit. Squeaks are reduced by 90-95%. As others have said you need to understand why hardwood floors creak, mainly due to the nails holding the subfloor to the ground, the joists lift over time and rub under each step. These screws drive the planks and subfloor back into the floor Beams, eliminating friction that causes the creaking. If you have friction between the beams, you will need a different kit. Fill the small holes with suitable wooden spatula and you're done!
