The Best Security in Gas Detectors and Alarms

I've been struggling to get this product to work for the last year and a half and finally got it. how much propane you have I highly recommend this product. I have an Arctic Fox 990 camper with two large 35 pound propane tanks stored in a very cramped compartment that can be accessed at head height. This is great for keeping tanks warm and weatherproof in the winter, but not so good for controlling absolutely critical propane levels. I rely on a propane heater to keep the lines from freezing in the winter here in Colorado when I live in the middle of nowhere, so it's important to know how much propane I have left. The other free standing 25 propane tanks I also use are easy enough to pick up and weigh when they get low. I personally don't want to play around with such a device for these applications. Using the Bluetooth app I was able to pair two of these devices, no additional hardware was required. Range is a bit limited considering the tanks are metal and maybe some older Bluetooth implementations don't work properly, but it works great in my RV a few feet from my Moto X4. The tanks don't have to be full of propane if you want to take a reading, so I don't waste my time checking unless I'm parked and in gale force winds. The real trick is to position the sensors correctly. The magnetic round end of the device must be perfectly centered on the bottom of the tank or it will not show up correctly. The rounded shape of this end helps a lot with centering. Because the distance between the bottom of the tank and the ground is very small, the sensor can be hit very easily during installation if the surface you place it on isn't perfectly flat, like in my case. I don't want them exposed to the elements so you might consider fixing the blocks in place once positioned. In my case I used another product called Tank Tires which I highly recommend: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073BMGRX5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Revain so maybe the new one will work too Mopeka Halo: https://www.amazon.com/Mopeka-Tank-Check-024-5002-Halo/dp/B07HQZRR9F/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=propane+tank+tire&qid=1581612258&sr=8-2Life Indicator The batteries are a bit rough and testing has shown me running on the included CR2032 batteries for a little over a year. Simply open and swap out the batteries once a year while you're topping up the tank when one of them starts glowing red indicating battery life, or maybe just swap out once a year at a convenient time. You need a knife blade or similar tool to open the battery swap boxes so this could be improved but this works for me. These monitoring devices provide great security when the plumbing system is compromised. It's not as important to me in temperatures above freezing, but still saves time on hard-to-reach tanks.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
