Review on Prime-Line C 1196 Sliding Door Pull: Convenient and Stylish White Handle by Jason Stokes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Much better than wood

There are very few good glass sliding door handles that don't have "mortice locks". These pens are the best I have found and are almost perfect. Here's the good and the bad. Good - they are one piece handles so nothing can separate or break like wooden handles. Constructed from durable full metal. Completely knows what fits most sliding glass doors. The screws that come with the kit are too long and the screws you have are too short. You will either need to put a washer between the handle and the door or use 1/8" to 1/4" shorter screws. I used a washer for each screw and it worked great, although now the grip isn't perfectly flush due to the thickness of the washer. The grip is a bit thinner than wooden grips, so the edge is a bit "sharper" and less comfortable. It doesn't matter much, but my doors move slightly. I think this pen is the best of all, practical and aesthetic. If it was a bit thicker where you get it and had the right length screws, that would be perfect.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing
