This switch is compact and portable. Absolutely no noise and works great. I wish it was metal and it was a little easier to unplug the ethernet cable from the ports. Not that it's a bad thing as my modem is plastic and a bit harder to unplug and I've been using it for a few years now. I'm just not sure why this one (port 5) connects a bit slow, all other ports connect and are immediately recognized as active. Port 5 takes about 20 seconds or more to become active and transfer data. Great switch to extend your home network tgen this is I have to say my top choice.
