Review on Samsung S34J55W 34 Inch Ultrawide LS34J550WQNXZA: Enhanced 75Hz Flicker-Free Display with Tilt Adjustment and Ultrawide Screen by Manuel Foreman

1. The screen flashes. I use it all the time with the dock connected to my SurfaceBook. Flashes very quickly. Turns black for 5 seconds. Most of the time it doesn't actually turn off, so the windows don't move onto my main monitor. But it disables enough to be annoying. Also does this from my Linux workstation.2. PBP is pretty good once you set it up. Graphics cards go crazy and then get huge. I need to set the size on the adapter and you are limited to certain sizes there (at least on Linux). So.enjoy.3. Awkward Controls - All controls are a single up/down/left/right click on the back panel. On/Off is easy. Everything else is click-click-click. For example, to disable PBP: click-right-click-click-down-click. Likewise for almost everything.4. slow connection - source switching, pbp on/off, etc. takes 5 seconds black screen (and "will this work? I *hope* so." (someone else mentioned this in a review) 5. Sleep mode more like a shutdown - If my win screen goes to a splash screen or turns off, so does the monitor. Yes. BUT if I wiggle my mouse, the laptop screen turns on immediately. Most of the time I have to unplug mon dock cables (and often pc-dock), reinstall to bring it back to life. Had no problems with same dock and other monitors. 5. BUY CURVED - just a recommendation the left/right side of the head (not sloping) Don't like it Not their fault, just mine Never buy a *flat* large monitor again Just curved General comments The quality of the display is great.. for development, not for gaming Monitor Much better (cleaner, more useful) than multipliers would have liked a vertical monitor for code editing :-) GENERAL - I liked the size for an hour, I would have bought a curved one. PBP saves. I won't cry when I have to replace.
