Review on Fowler 52 252 001: Precision Multi Anvil Micrometer with Graduation by Matthew Fadoul

I bought this microphone for occasional use. I didn't even open the box before taking it to the inspection department for sizing. When the inspector brought it to me he said he couldn't believe I really had it. The coating is already peeling off and the head had to be set to 0.020" straight out of the box. I've seen better quality imported goods. Fowler's quality seems to be declining rapidly (again). I'm leaving the mic for now as I'm in the Don't have money for a better one at the moment and need it for the job I'm working on.Repeat seems good so functionally it works fine.I'm just wondering how long it will take for the surface to rust where the coating is chipped off.
