Can't tell if it's accurate or not. It took me a while to figure out how to read it (I just wrote down the numbers with pictures until I could) and I think I'd rather get another device that has the numbers further apart lie so that I can judge where the level is if necessary be more precise. However, this one fits the general idea quite well. It has a nice plastic storage box with foam pads for the hydrometer that comes with the kit and the glass measuring tube isn't too flimsy although it looks like it might break. if you are not careful. It was slightly dented from washing and transport between the sink and my mead station and both are still completely intact. The hydrometer will probably be the first thing I accidentally break since it's a very thin glass. I try to be careful with this, but I have a backup just in case.
