These are very sharp wire cutters with curved cutting jaws for easily cutting copper and aluminum wire, too large for normal wire cutters, almost 3/4 inch in diameter. Things like large electrical wires, battery wires, welding wires, etc. also work well with coax because they don't crush coax like wire cutters do. Knipex tools are always of very high quality and are no exception. But a friendly warning: never cut any steel wire. This will destroy the jaws and void the warranty. Only soft copper or aluminum! Never use these cutters to cut coaxial cable or CCS (Copper Clad Steel) wires! You have to be careful because this crappy cable is being sold everywhere at prices that are too good to be true. Don't fall for it! Also, do not use this tool to cut steel support wires that are often attached to coaxial cables. If you do this and remember the jaws, it's your fault, not the tool. Otherwise highly recommended.
