Before opening the package, I noticed that the 0.5mm bit was discolored. I grabbed it and tried to drill through masonite (it's a piece of wood for those unfamiliar with it) and the drill caught on the wood and then twisted in two. He couldn't even drill through the wood before breaking, on the first try. Of course I used a pin vise, but for context I use these bits in my N scale model building. Not my first rodeo with tiny drill bits in a vise. I only used 0.6mm from the rest of the package and everything was fine. I think the discoloration of the .5 was a defect in the metal, the .6mm and the rest have a nice shiny sheen while the .5 was dull almost black. Would I buy again? I don't know, would you play for less than $10? As for me I only use them when modeling so I can just use the next larger or smaller size and have no problem but for strict requirements. can pass these.
