This window fastener is easy to cut and stick. Simply measure windows and add 1/8 to 1/4 inch over the cut to account for window imperfections, especially older windows that may have shifted. I used the suggested enzyme spray which made it easy to move the chain across the window for perfect placement. There is no need for an enzyme spray as water or Windex will do. After drying, the enzyme spray left no marks on the glass or the outside of the toe. I suggest using a liberal amount of spray on a very clean window and the outside of the chain along with a window scraper to remove air bubbles. It's okay if there are a few small bubbles as they will dry up and you won't notice them. I waited 48 hours before trimming the excess around the window pane to keep the chain from moving while I cut. It was easy to cut and trim with an Xacto knife. This pattern lets light in, but only shadows are visible from the outside from more than 5 feet away. When a person stands nearby, he can only see the outline of an object or person through the window. I used 1 1/2 rolls of this template for 8 standard glasses. I am very happy with the result of these windows.
