Bought the first one last fall to install window grilles in the basement for our wild street cats. It took a while to convince one of the truly tame ones to go inside, but now he's inside all the time. One of the others followed him, and now it always goes the same way. I bought another one to put next to my shed in the summer as all the cats love to sleep in there. I hope they get used to using the door in summer and going down to the basement in winter to keep warm. The door is solid with a magnetic lock that closes after the cat goes inside to keep warm. Very easy to install on the screen. I wouldn't follow the template they give to make a hole in the screen, just cut around a rectangular hole, that makes it more secure.
