The switch mostly works as it should. It's a good thing to be able to switch a keyboard and mouse between two computers (without the clutter of two devices on one desk). As stated in the description, it may not work with some older keyboards or mice. I had an old favorite keyboard and needed to replace it (works with Alienware K510). Video switching also works if there is a direct connection between the graphics port on the mainboard or the graphics card without an adapter (e.g. HDMI-DP or vice versa). For each computer, the switch has two HDMI and DP input ports and one set of HDMI and DP output ports. If you need to use adapters, it's a bit random. I've tried several and some of them work and some don't. I generally keep the switch as it does what I need it to do.
