Works like clockwork

Like others, I was hesitant to buy the Ateq Quickset Tool because of the negative reviews. But the positive reviews made me give it a try. I'm glad I did. I bought winter tires and steel wheels separately for my 2017 Subaru Forester. The tire shop that put the tires on the wheels activated and read the TPMS sensors for me and gave me the codes. I was able to use the Ateq Quickset tool to read the TPMS codes on my summer tires before I fitted my winter tires. After my winter tires were mounted on the car, I entered the winter tire codes into Quickset and it worked like magic to transfer the winter codes to the Forester. A few notes: The Quickset tool I bought has a sticker that says "04.2019". I understand that this is the date of manufacture. Although the information on Quickset indicated that it was compatible with Windows 7 and 8, I was able to easily install the software on my Windows 10 laptop. During the installation, I got a dialog box asking if I could "repair" Windows. wanted installation and I clicked yes. The software has completed the installation and is working properly. It is important to update the software after installation. The program contains data for many brands and models of cars. I selected Subaru from the list and found dates for my model up to 2019. Quickset can store summer and winter TPMS codes for up to five vehicles. You can also use Quickset to reset codes after changing tires. You don't have to re-enter the codes. The software allows you to move codes to new locations after changing tires. Just to be clear - the Quickset tool communicates with the car's computer through an OBD-II port. So it can read TPMS codes that are already in the car's computer, but it cannot read TPMS codes that aren't there. And it can't read codes directly from the sensors in the wheels. So when you first put snow tires and rims on your car you will need sensor codes on your new wheels - either get them from a tire shop or get a device that will initialize the sensors and read the codes. codes (e.g. Ateq VT 31).

Pros
  • FIX TPMS LIGHT WHEN INSTALLING NEW SENSORS This easy-to-use relearn tool transmits new TPMS sensor IDs to your vehicle's ECU. Stores two wheel sets for easy wheel changes (e.g. summer and winter set).
Cons
