Review on πŸ”§ Improved Edelmann 92124 Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Assembly by Steve Rohde

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The new part leaked a lot

Note: According to the installation instructions, the nut must be inserted into the pump first. Remember that when doing this, the nipple end of the hose must be perfectly aligned with the hole, otherwise, instead of moving apart, the locking ring in the nut will grab the end and gradually push the other end out. I know this because the first replacement was very difficult to put in by hand, so I figured it needed convincing. He walked all the way and seemed to sit down (no). Very heavily leaked for a new part. Ordered the second part, got it and removed the old new part (had to cut through the hard line again) and the following happened: The holder was pushed out of the front of the nipple and the O-ring stuck out at the back. So bet the next time you try to be extra careful. Didn't work, had the same problem as the first but stopped thinking about it, removed the nut and reassembled it before putting it in the pump, almost seemed less difficult but had to use a 7/16 wrench cut and line up the hole. The end is larger to fit in such a limited space. Also technically it was assembled with a third part, in fact the second hose ordered was missing at the last 90 degree bend in the pump, there was no problem getting it back but it was another week in the truck.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Doubtful
